Waveshare ESP32-S3 Touch LCD 4.3" Type C (AI Voice) specifications
The ESP32-S3-Touch-LCD-4.3C is Waveshare's voice-ready 4.3-inch board. Alongside an 800×480 RGB display with 5-point capacitive touch, it carries an ES8311 audio codec with a speaker output and an ES7210 four-channel microphone ADC — the hardware typically used for far-field voice capture and AI voice assistants.
The ESP32-S3R8 provides 8 MB of stacked PSRAM, with 16 MB of external flash. Industrial-style extras are included too: two isolated digital inputs and two isolated outputs, a PCF85063 RTC, a microSD slot in SD_MMC mode and a lithium battery charger (CS8501) with 5 V boost.
Waveshare sells it with or without a plastic case, so it can go straight onto a wall or desk as a voice-controlled panel. LCD Ultra Pro supports the 4.3C in landscape and portrait, with a display and touch driver matched to Waveshare's own example code.

Free GPIOs and connectors
This board has no free GPIOs: every pin is used by the display, touch or on-board peripherals.
Good to know before you start
- Touch sits on I2C (SDA 8 / SCL 9) with its interrupt on GPIO 4 and reset through the I/O expander.
- There are no spare ESP32 GPIOs — audio, display and the expander use them all; extend through I2C.
- The microphone array and codec are hardware features; voice recognition itself needs your own firmware or service.
- Rotation to 90° is supported for a 480×800 portrait layout.
What it is good for
- •Voice assistants with a touch UI
- •Smart home panels with voice control
- •Intercom and announcement panels
- •AI demo devices
